Sorry to bother you. My name is Ray B...Hi David,

Sorry to bother you. My name is Ray Blakney and I am an RPCV from Mexico (2006-2008). Congrats on completing your service! I am working on a 3rd goal project with the PC regional offices and the main office in DC to try to create an online archive to keep the language training material made all over the world from getting lost. I have created a sub-section on the website my wife and I run Live Lingua with all the information I have been able to get to date (from over the web and sent to me directly by PC staff and PCV's). I currently have close to 100 languages with ebooks, audios, and even some videos.

The next step for this project is that I am trying to get the word out about this resource so that it can not only be used by PCV's or those accepted into the Peace Corps, but also so that when people run across material that is not on the site they can send it to me and I can get it up for everybody to use. I was hoping that you could help getting the word out by putting a link on this on your site here, so that people know it is there. There should be something there for almost everybody. It is all 100% free to use and share. Here is the specific page to what we call the Live Lingua Project:

http://www.livelingua.com/project/

Thanks for any help you can provide in making this 3rd goal project a success. And if anybody in your group has some old material they can scan or already have in digital form, and want to add to the archive, please don't hesitate to pass them my email. Thanks and have a great day.
Ray Blakneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11206275909545393833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973107187403353113.post-6266242146285235842017-09-28T09:12:53.066-07:002017-09-28T09:12:53.066-07:00Thanks so much for this! I've learned lots from your blog, and wish I could have commented more or met with you in Dominica. You might be pleased to know that my wife and I just spoke on the phone with Joan Belmore, the first ever Peace Corps Volunteer to Dominica (EC1, serving in Portsmouth). At 80, she's just as sharp as ever, and plans on returning to Dominica this fall (last week of October and 1st wk of November). She mentioned putting together a video, giving a bit more historical context, and perhaps we can collaborate on that together. We would obviously love to hear the DBS interview. Warm wishes for your final few moments (for now) in Dominica!Alanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09040337985450425803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973107187403353113.post-65568147120840862232017-08-15T08:37:55.841-07:002017-08-15T08:37:55.841-07:00Lovely blog post David! We have always enjoyed our two weeks on Dominica, & along with our other US team members, have missed all of our Dominica friends greatly this year. We look forward to our trip there in January 2018 "God willing"! As you have come to find out, I'm sure the local people welcome us with open arms & are more than willing to help. It is a wonderful testament to them that they were able to do build the three beautiful little houses with out our guidance this year. Please congratulate them & give them all our love! I went through one somewhere and was shocked at how small it was and how few passengers it could take. I believe that was it's downfall as the cost per person to cover flight and maintenance costs is prohibitive for all but the wealthy or high-end business persons.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08674038256425234614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1973107187403353113.post-89760958897215398032016-09-09T13:15:28.325-07:002016-09-09T13:15:28.325-07:00Hey David,
